1/2 Way there!!! THIS IS JUST AN ESTIMATE. Could be sooner or could be later, but isn’t this a great sight to see!? So ready to get him back home to me!
dreamingofourforever: I love your halfway done picture on instagram, I'm so happy for you! Congrats on kicking this deployments boo-tay! Also, our fur babies look like they would totally be best friends-- my boyfriend and I just recently adopted a mini Ausie too! Dakota is adorable 😍

Thank you so much!! And AHHH I love Aussies!! Dakota would love a bestie! You are so sweet for the kind words

Anonymous: my very best friend is being deployed in a few days and I'm not sure how I'm going to get thru it.. do you have any advice, id really appreciate it! thank you in advance.

I’m so sorry that you are having to go through this. My best advice is to just stay as busy as you can. Take up a new hobby, get a job, get a dog! hahahaha Those are a few things I did for this deployment and its been a breeze so far! (This is our second one, so it’s been a little easier) I’m one of those people who will sit and think and mope and cry if I have too much time to myself, so my job and my furbaby keep me pretty active. Set goals while they are away, and try your best to reach those goals. When counting down the days, don’t look towards the end but set mini mile markers to countdown to so if doesn’t seem like such a long time. I hope some of this has helped. I know its going to be hard, but keeping positive is the key to surviving a deployment. It makes you happy and it makes them happy. They don’t want to think about you being miserable back home. So chin up, and keep smiling because they will be home again! Deployments don’t last forever. If you ever have questions about deployment or anything, just ask!
